Driver-Controlled Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner
We know: that's a mouthful, but it's important. When fueled by diesel, idling trucks don't produce enough heat to burn soot away from the diesel particulate filter, a part that helps diesel-powered trucks run smoother for longer and comply with evolving emissions standards. When idling for a long minute, push the Ford Super Duty's Regeneration activation button. It immediately raises exhaust heat, burning off soot that might otherwise get trapped in the all-important diesel particulate filter.
